Casa Borghetto

Nestled along a secondary road leading to a small hamlet near the countryside, there is a house built in several phases between the 1930s and the 1960s. The original building now presents limitations compared to current energy standards and modern requirements for contemporary living. For this reason, the project foresees a demolition and reconstruction intervention with an extension of the existing volume. The new configuration aims to fully enhance the available space, exploiting its full potential. The operation allows for a reinterpretation of the relationship between the building and the surrounding rural context. Great attention is given to energy efficiency and the performance quality of the new building system. The project introduces a new architectural identity while maintaining a connection to the memory of the place. The result is a contemporary, functional home integrated into the rural landscape.
