El Roque

Located in the raw and magnetic landscape of Fuerteventura, Villa El Roque was designed as an architectural response to the island’s primitive force. El Roque is not a house that imposes itself on nature, but a dwelling that respects it and blends with it. The project is placed in a way that preserves the natural flows of the terrain and maintains the native vegetation, minimising environmental impact. The architecture develops as a discreet organism, able to engage in dialogue with its context without disrupting its balance. From a functional point of view, the villa is conceived as a fluid and versatile home, suitable for everyday comfort as well as hosting guests. The spaces are designed as openings towards the horizon, where the continuity between interior and exterior becomes a central element of the project. The boundary between living space and landscape dissolves, creating an immersive and free experience. The result is an essential and grounded retreat, yet at the same time open and contemplative.
