Villa Hermes

Villa Hermes is a semi-detached villa designed to reinterpret the architectural composition of multi-family homes, offering an alternative to the single-family villa for those seeking privacy, spatial quality, and direct contact with nature. The project arises from continuous design research and is consistent with a nearby development, sharing its attention to the relationship with the surrounding greenery. The house is located in a strategic context that ensures access to main services, while maintaining a strong openness towards the natural landscape. The architectural volume is composed of three main elements: the central body of the domus, a perimeter portico, and two symmetrical side volumes dedicated to service functions. The scheme reinterprets recognizable forms of dwelling in a contemporary way, creating a clear and distinctive architectural language. The design objective is to overcome the boundary between interior and exterior, reducing it to a threshold filtered by the portico. This element generates a continuous promenade around the house, strengthening the dialogue with the garden. On the upper floor, the system is completed by a usable green terrace that maintains a constant relationship between architecture and nature.
